This policy explains how DCJ Plumbing and Heating (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website. We are based in Whitecourt, Alberta, and handle personal information in line with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you send a quote request, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, phone number, and, if you provide them, your email address, town, the service you need, your message, and whether it’s an emergency.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider may process technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and contact you about your job.
- To keep a record of the work we quote or do.
- To protect the website from spam and abuse.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for marketing without your consent.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers to run this website and deliver form submissions:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and processes form submissions.
- Resend delivers form submissions to our email inbox.
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
Analytics and cookies
This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete or destroy it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent for its use (subject to legal or contractual limits). Contact us using the details below.
